You can't expect the weather to remain mild when you're camped somewhere along the 66th parallel, and you can't expect just any tent to withstand the weather you'll encounter in high alpine and arctic environs. A staple on arctic expeditions in both hemispheres since the tent was first released in 1981, Hilleberg's Keron GT Three Person Four Season Tent employs a proven design that will hold tight in the worst weather and remain weatherproof whether you're waiting out a blizzard on Baffin island or a winter wind storm somewhere in the Gobi desert. The Keron GT employs the same space maximizing tunnel shape, convenient dual door construction, and easy to set up design of its predecessors, but with the addition of an extended front vestibule and side entry, making it a good choice for more gear intensive expeditions. Both the outer tent and inner tent are linked for quick and secure pitching in windy environments. Made with Hilleberg's Black Label construction, the Keron GT is composed of top shelf fabrics and components to ensure solid and reliable performance in the harshest alpine and arctic environments. The outer fabric is Hilleberg's proprietary Kerlon 1800 high tenacity nylon, which has been coated on both sides with silicone to give the outer tent a hydrostatic head rating of 3000mm. The bathtub floor extends along the sides of the inner tent to prevent ground water from seeping through and is triple coated with polyurethane to give the floor a hydrostatic head of 10,000mm.The Keron GT has a relatively simple design for easy setup and long lasting durability, but still sports all the features necessary to make it a comfortable shelter in the harshest environments. Both the mesh backed doors and no see um mesh vents both vestibules can be adjusted to dial in the necessary ventilation to prevent condensation from accumulating along the tent walls. Both of the doors' zippers are protected by flaps to protect against snow and rain, and while the no see um mesh...
