Unlike the sensation of sharing a tent, the marvel of nesting alone in the Wind River Range can be both filled with ardor and lonely isolation. So when your refuge for the week is the Hilleberg Akto Tent: 1 Person 4 Season, soaking in the panoramic views of the Rockies feels a little more like home and a little less jilted. Catering to the lone wolf enthusiast, the Atko made its debut nearly 20 years ago when Hilleberg's founder was inspired by the need for a lightweight and versatile, yet rugged, four season tent. Offering a unique silhouette, the Atko is designed with a simple tunnel construction, which offers maximum space while simultaneously remaining lightweight consequently making it ideal for days spent on the trail or on the road. In addition to its uncommon contour, the Akto combines multiple fabric technologies into one with its simple, so to speak, layering system. Crafted with the burly Kerlon fabric, an outer layer or rain fly flawlessly links to the interior nylon tent for easy concurrent pitching, in turn making the Atko optimal for harsh and unpredictable conditions. Pitching the tent itself is quite simple: all you'll need to utilize are the guy lines, singular 9mm pole, and 10 V pegs. However, should you desire to pitch one of the two layers, the Atko layers are equipped to be utilized on their lonesome with the exception of additional pole holders. A strategically placed ventilation system located at the head, feet, and outer tent door permits ample temperature regulation without sacrificing coverage while the generous vestibule permits you to store your pack with ease.
