Designed with GT's COR All Mountain Philosophy in mind, the 2016 GT Force X Sport 27.5 inch mountain bike was built to fit the needs of the rider, whether you're looking to race the clock in a DH race or attack single track on a trail ride. With a short stem, wide bars, and a long front center geometry, the GT Force X Sport offers the control needed during descent. The Force is incredibly responsive when it comes to close encounters with dangerous objects, or on terrain that can change suddenly during a ride. Plus, the Force instills a freeing feeling on climbs that translates into confidence, so you can comfortably ride your bike all over the mountain. The 2015 GT Force X Sport features a 6069 hyrdroformed aluminum frame and AOS Independent Drivetrain Suspension System with forged linkage and 150 mm of travel. AOS features optimized bump compliance, delivers more efficient pedaling, and decreases the angle of response for an efficient and smooth ride. The Sport also boasts a Marzocchi 350R air assisted coil spring fork with 160 mm of travel and tapered alloy steerer for durability in your descent. Fox Racing's Shox Float DPS air shock on the rear adds rebound and lockout adjustments to keep you efficient and comfortable on the rockiest of roads, so you don't need to worry about the repeated shock of a bumpy trail transferring to your back, keeping you comfortable and properly positioned for upcoming obstacles on the WTB Silverado Sport saddle. The Shimano Deore Rapid Fire shifters provide easy access to 20 gearing options, and you won't miss a gear when attempting to increase speed or efficiency on the Sport thanks to the Shimano Deore front derailleur and Shimano Deore Shadow Plus direct mount rear derailleur sucking up slack to keep shifting seamless. The Sport also provides the braking power to go along with the speed, with a Shimano Deore BR M615 disc brake system with metallic pads and Centerlock rotors for supreme control in the corners. The disc brake system will also conserve the life of the WTB STP i25 tubeless ready rims, and the Continental Mountain King tires provide plenty of surface area to grip any road.
