For years now, Gore Bike Wear has manufactured mountain bike gloves with thermal lining and shells made from the venerable Windstopper fabric, but the sizing for women has been tricky. We've often had to settle for slightly floppy fits because the sizes offered are designed for men's hands. Gore has addressed this by expanding its line to include Mountain Bike Windstopper Thermo Gloves, a winter weight glove sized specifically for women. The Windstopper shells are literally windproof, which is quantified with a rating called CFM. CFM stands for Cubic Feet per Minute, and it's used to measure the volume of air that passes through a fabric in one minute. In order to be considered truly windproof, a fabric must register a CFM of equal to or less than 1. 0, and anything bearing Gore Tex's Windstopper label either meets or exceeds this rating. Underneath this barrier, the gloves' Thermo lining is able to create a microclimate of warmth around your paws. The palms combine foam padding and silicone grip to ensure comfort that won't have a slipping all over your handlebars. The grip also extends up the fingers, which equates to fewer dropped water bottles and less fumbling with tire levers while changing a flat. Gore also strengthened the area between the thumb and forefinger, since it's the main contact point between your hands and the bike. Reflective piping and logos help keep you visible in the low light, low visibility conditions when you'll really want this type of protection. The Gore Bike Wear Mountain Bike Windstopper Thermo Gloves Women's are available in five sizes ranging from XX Small to Large in the color Black.
