The Flex Shorts are constructed on a curve to clone your bodys natural riding position throughout a range of motion. The shape of the panels eliminate puckers and creases by ergonomically following the bodys contours. HC 44 high compression fabric provides precise fit, incredible performance and maximum comfort. A second fabric, Ametista , uses carbon threads to control stretch and reinforce the strength of the material, allowing it to be lighter and stronger. Carbon has the added benefit of reducing electrical interference from cell phone towers and power lines that can negatively affect performance. Ametista is utilized on the Giordana Core Contour System around the waist where it wraps internal organs with protective carbon, delaying the onset of fatigue. At the cuffs, Ametista is backed with Antigua to form the Aerofix Gripper System, which holds the bibs perfectly in place with a seamless feel. Antigua is perforated to create pockets of air next to the skin and to allow airflow to pass through.
