We're thoroughly impressed with the amount of daily activities Garmin's featherweight wearables can detect unobtrusively from our wrists, but sometimes, we miss classic leather bands and analog displays. With the growing availability of small touchscreen computers that can be worn at the wrist, seeing simple timepieces, even at the office, is becoming a rarity. The forward marching tech pioneers at Garmin recognize this and created the Garmin Vivomove Activity Tracker for the nostalgic among us who can still benefit from activity tracking throughout the day. Slim and light, the Vivomove looks like a simple analog watch at first glance, with activity tracking features subtly integrated into its face so that they're easily visible if you're looking but not overtly noticeable at a passing glance. The Vivomove quietly counts steps throughout the day, monitoring how much you've moved with a red bar on the right side of the display. It gently reminds you when you've been sitting too long, and provides the option to track your sleep if you're having trouble getting the right amount of shut eye. The Vivomove won't inundate you with excessive stats and data during your day, but it will automatically upload to Garmin Connect several times throughout the day so that you have access to your daily activities and can keep an eye on your weekly or monthly progress. Unlike complicated fitness watches, the Vivomove doesn't require frequent recharging and a host of cables its coin cell battery has a lifespan of around a year, so you can make the watch an everyday part of your wardrobe without feeling like you're tethered yet another electronic device.
