The GT Grade is designed as a go anywhere, do anything road bike, and with an immensely capable Shimano 105 drivetrain hung on it, it'll keep going anywhere and doing anything for a long time. GT's triple triangle aluminum frames date back over two decades, but hat doesn't mean it's dated these frames were designed to offer that vertical compliance that all the carbon guys go on about. The result is that the Grade offers an extremely smooth ride quality, even on choppier road surfaces. Moving the Grade along is Shimano's new, 11 speed 105 drivetrain. In this particular instance, the crankset comes equipped with 5236 chainrings, and the cassette's an 11 32, which gives you both top end speed and low end climbing ability. The Grade rolls on Continental's Ultra Sport tires, a grippy, durable choice.
