The Twinflex construction uses a stiff outline for support, with a more forgiving interior to provide cushion for your perineum so the weight savings don't come at the cost of undo suffering on rides over 25 miles. In Fizik's Linnaean estimation of cyclists as animals, the Aliante is for bulls. Bulls are less flexible and rotate their pelvises forward when they ride, an adjustment that requires a saddle with a larger, deeper pocket but, truth be told, we know many cyclists who can touch their foreheads to their knees while stretching but still prefer the Aliante.
