Etxeondo was founded in 1976 by Francisco Rodrigo, a young man with experience in the world of high end fashion. He saw an opportunity to take the attention to quality and detail, prevalent in the fashion industry, and apply it to the creation of a line of clothing specific to cycling a sport for which he had an incredible passion. Rodrigo set up his first studio in the village of Etxeondo, near San Sebastian, Spain. Now, 30 years later, the company by the same name is synonymous with quality, fit, and craftsmanship of cycling gear still designed and sewn in Spain. Not willing to outsource designs to be made overseas, Etxeondo uses two plants, one in Irura and one in Castejon to design and construct its clothing. And even though advancements in technology have removed the need for an entirely handsewn bib, the finishing touches that ensure comfort and fit are still sewn by hand. This allows Etxeondo to apply strict quality control measures to each and every piece they produce. The Feather bibs were constructed from Exteondo's Powersystem 1. 2 fabric. This fabric features the use of Lycra Sport Elastomer which gives it an highly elastic, and slightly compressive quality. The thickness of Powersystem varies, depending upon the thickness of threads used, and for the Feather bibs, a 114 grams per square meter weave was used. This is a very light, highly breathable weight which allows optimal cooling for rides in the heat. The Feather bibs were built around Etxeondo's Feather chamois. Although at first glance the design seems rather simplistic, it is the combination of high density foam within the chamois as well as the fabric's double layer that make this insert the ideal choice for hot weather riding. The chamois features a perforated base layer which helps to pull moisture away from your skin. It is breathable and quick drying to keep you dry. Additionally, the foam features E. I. T Elastic Interface Technology so that the it conforms to your movem...
