Eddy Merckx Sallanches Tiagra Road Bike 2017. No one disputes the long list of results that made Eddy Merckx a legend, but everyone starts somewhere. In 1964, Eddy Merckx became the amateur world champion in Sallanches, France. This marked the start of his extraordinarily successful career as a cyclist. The Sallanches64 is a carbon racing bike that combines compliance with a high level of stiffness. This versatile racing machine is the ideal mix of high performance and endurance. And this frame has also been given a special internal treatment so that the inside looks just as clean as the outside, resulting in a weight of barely 900 grams. The frame has a high compliance with just the right stiffness and a carbon fork weighing in at 360 grams. Powerbox, asymmetrical chainstays and compliance chainstays translate into a one two punch of power transfer and rider comfort. The Sallanches64 has a versatile enduranceperformance geometry and is equipped with an 10 speed Shimano Tiagra drivetrain with Shimano clincher wheels. The frame is marvelously adorned with Italian designed Deda Elementi handlebar, stem, and seatpost, as well as comfortable Prologo saddle for grinding out the tough climbs.
