The ENVE M90 Ten 26in Wheelset replaces the World Cup DH proven DH series, and it's more than up to the task. Taking lessons learned from ENVE's World Cup DH program, the M90 Ten is a marked improvement over its predecessor, with significant improvements being made in both rim profile and impact resistance. With a generous internal width, and an even stronger redesigned profile, this wheelset is built to be a full blown competitive advantage, while being durable enough to ride all season long. They may be race proven, but these are so much more than just race wheels. ENVE had a tall order ahead of it when designing a successor to the World Cup DH proven DH rim, but unsurprisingly, the team in Ogden delivered in spades. The 26in M90 Ten rim now weighs 487g, which makes it about 25g heavier than the previous 26in DH rim, but the payoff is increased width and astounding strength. Part of the strength increase comes from trading in traditional bead hooks for a redesigned beadless hook bead, which is both lighter and more impact resistant. The width has grown by 4mm to a whopping 25mm internal, which provides a round tire profile, for greater cornering stability, and more rubber on the ground at any given time. Anyone who's familiar with ENVE knows the fanatical lengths that its engineers go to in order to achieve a perfect ride feel. Accordingly, the M90 Ten has been tuned to provide a degree of vertical compliance, enhancing both grip and rider comfort, without sacrificing the fantastic lateral rigidity that endows ENVE with the on rails feeling for which they're prized. The rim tells most of the story, but these wheels are hand built in Utah, to exacting standards, which provides the longevity you'd expect out of a class leading wheel system. They're laced to DT Swiss 240 hubs, with a standard 6 bolt rotor interface. The 240s have become a staple for their lightweight construction, remarkable durability, and tool free service, which makes them a perfect match f...
