The ENVE M70thirty 29in Wheelset is the even more capable successor to the AM series crown. Borrowing heavily from ENVE's World Cup DH proven M90ten rim, the M70thirty has been designed specifically for riders who pedal to the top and charge back down with abandon. With a generous internal width, and an even stronger redesigned profile, this wheelset is perfect for those of you who regularly ignore accepted boundaries on your trail rides. When ENVE set about designing the M70thirty, the goal was to build a rim that was stronger and more capable than the AM rim. Unsurprisingly, the team in Ogden delivered in spades. The 29in M70thirty rim now weighs 481g, making it slightly heavier than the AM rim, but the payoff is increased width, to better accommodate today's larger tires, and astounding strength. Part of the strength increase comes from trading in traditional bead hooks for a redesigned beadless hook bead, which is both lighter and more impact resistant. The width is a whopping 25mm internally, which provides a round tire profile, for greater cornering stability, and more rubber on the ground at any given time. Anyone who's familiar with ENVE knows the fanatical lengths that its engineers go to in order to achieve a perfect ride feel. Accordingly, the M70thirty has been tuned to provide a degree of vertical compliance, enhancing both grip and rider comfort, without sacrificing the fantastic lateral rigidity that endows ENVE with the on rails feeling for which they're prized. The rim tells most of the story, but these wheels are hand built in Utah, to exacting standards, which provides the longevity you'd expect out of a class leading wheel system. They're laced to DT Swiss 240 hubs, with your choice of either a Centerlock or standard 6 bolt rotor interface. Additionally, you can choose between a standard freehub or an XD driver, for use with SRAM's one by eleven drivetrains. The 240s have become a staple for their lightweight construction, remarkable durab...
