Nobody knows lightweight ski touring gear like Dynafit, and while the company's best know for its boots and bindings, gear like the TLT Primaloft Women's Insulated Jacket is making waves in the fast and light backcountry market. On the outside, the TLT is made from Pertex Quantum, a superlight and highly packable fabric that's remarkably durable at the same time, so it can brush through threes and have the occasional run in with ski edges without coming off worse. The fabric has been finished with a DWR coating to repel water, and Dynafit lined the TLT with smooth nylon taffeta for easy, highly mobile layering. Sandwiched between the Pertex and nylon is a hearty layer of Primaloft Gold Luxe synthetic insulation. It's nearly as warm, light, and lofty as down, but has the added bonus of retaining its warmth even when it gets wet, so soggy snow won't spell the end of your comfortable morning. There's a chest pocket for a map, snack, or lip balm, and elastic finishing along the hem, cuffs, and neck to form a snug, draft free barrier and keep your hard earned heat close to your body.
