Dynafit partnered with former world class skimo racer and renowned carbon boot builder, Pierre Gignoux, to develop the lightest speed touring binding on the market. Weighing in at just 75g, the RC1, in its second year, marks a new chapter in the world of ultralight rando bindings. Designed to be used exclusively with Dynafit's RC1 boot, which was also designed with Gignoux, this binding will help you fly uphill like there are rockets tied to your tails, and will provide the solidity you need to maneuver down icy, wind scoured, and refrozen descents The RC1 is obviously made to be minimal, but Dynafit slimmed it down even more by employing a high resistance carbon toe piece that simply bends to accommodate the toe of your boot and snaps back to lock the toe pins into place. The super simple heel is composed of 7075 aluminum alloy and plastic, allowing for lighting fast transitions and making the binding a gram counting skimo racer's dream. Switching between walk and ski mode is achieved by simply flipping the heel tab over the pins, while stepping into the binding is comparable to traditional tech bindings. To step out of the binding, push the tab just above the toe pin to release the boot from the toe fittings. There are hardly any moving parts that can break, and the RC1's sleek, simple design will stand out as much for it's super minimal good looks as for it's ultralight race readiness.
