On top of the sole, a synthetic leather upper conforms to your foot, breathes well, and resists abrasion. The fit is the same as what's found in Diadora's race shoes, so you won't have to worry about slopping or sliding around, and the combination of a ratcheting insole strap and two hook and loop straps wrap the upper snuggly around your foot.
