Built with an ideal blend of comfort and performance, the Diadora Men's Tornado Shoes feature many of the same bells and whistles as Diadora's flagship Proracer 3, but with materials that are a bit easier on your wallet. As such, the Tornado shoes use a synthetic leather upper with Suprell Tech Morpho AM Cage Technology. More simply put, this upper bolsters your foot to reduce slop and improve power transfer to the pedals. Its pre molded TPU heel cup prevents your heel from slipping when you're hammering up hills and sprinting down straightaways. Moreover, you'll find a perforated EVA footbed that supports your Achilles, while wicking moisture to reduce sweat build up in warmer conditions. The 4 position adjustable buckle ratchets down securely over your ankle, while the lower hook and loop straps fasten tightly around your mid and forefoot areas to reduce slop without creating pressure points. Looking toward the shoe's sole, you'll find a Racer CR sole that's made of a composite reinforced material for a nice balance of rigidity and reduced weight. Though it's not as stiff as a full blown carbon sole, it still provides ample power transfer and efficiency.
