When you're on your feet upwards of fourteen hours a day, a solid and comfortable boot is vital to finishing your shift in good enough shape to wake up and do it again. The Danner Men's Wildland Tactical Firefighter Boot borrows design elements from mountaineering boots and uses lightweight materials, so it stays more comfortable than traditional wildland boots but maintains all the durability necessary to last a whole fire season.Danner built the Wildland with a durable and fire resistant roughout leather upper, but added a breathable mesh lining to help keep your feet cool and comfortable when you're going direct or two chains in the black during mop up operations. As you know, stability is essential when you're digging line in the steep, brushy terrain that fires love, so Danner also included a full length polypropylene foot board and integrated a steel shank for additional rigidity. It also added a single density open cell Ortholite footbed to the equation to keep the Wildland comfortable when you're back at the ICP watching the air show commence. As is the case with all Danner Wildland boots, the Tactical Firefighter is made in the USA and is NFPA 1977:2011 edition certified.
