Castelli's predecessor, known by Vittore Gianni, the name of its founder, spent over a century manufacturing clothing for cyclists and pedestrians from wool. Given this history, we aren't surprised to see the Italian manufacturer honor its heritage with the Unavolta Jersey. We also aren't surprised that Castelli's penchant for innovation and style inform the material used and the aesthetic design of the jersey. The Unavolta is a blend of synthetics and wool to strike a balance between the moisture evacuating prowess of polyester and the insulating, warm even when wet properties of wool. Both materials perform at their best when mated, and Castelli lets this romance play out against a backdrop of retro styling by way of the sublimated graphics. For a little extra heat, you can convert this jersey into an extra warm base layer by adding a third party to the affair in the form of a winter jacket. The YKK Camlock zipper lets you dump excess warmth when the woolpolyester thing heats up. Three rear pockets provide enough cargo space for the contemporary nutrition of gel packs or, in the true retro manner, wine and champagne looted from cafes that have the misfortune of being placed along the Tour's route. The Castelli Unavolta Jersey is available in six sizes ranging from Small to XXX Large in the colors Blackwhite, Bordeauxazure, Drive Blueyellow, Greyblack, and Laurelyellow.
