For crisp fall mornings and cool spring afternoons, Castelli created its dual layer Raffica Jersey FZ to keep you warm when you first get outside and cool as the temperatures continue to rise throughout the day. Using Castelli's proprietary CarboNot polyester as an inner layer, the jersey has a contoured, race ready silhouette, and the CarboNot layer sits close to the skin to facilitate efficient moisture transfer as you start to heat up mid ride. Castelli then adds an outer panel of its Stretch Woven fabric on the front of the jersey to block wind and provide a thin layer of insulation against cooler temperatures without compromising the jersey's ability to move with you as you ride. We're seeing more and more high end jerseys being constructed with raw cut edges on arm bands. Castelli follows suit with the Raffica, eschewing the traditional seaming and elastic bands in favor of a subtler, sleeker raw edge. Not just an aesthetic choice, the raw edge also aims to lessen irritation while still keeping the fabric at the arms in place as you ride. A more traditional jacquard waist elastic secures the bottom hem of the Raffica, while the full length camlock zipper allows for temperature adjustments mid ride and three rear pockets with reflective accents keep you visible on the roads and allow for plenty of storage for ride essentials. According to Castelli, the Raffica can be worn in a wide temperature range, but expect it to have Castelli's signature fit: especially slim through the chest when not on the bike and form fitting throughout for an ideal fit once you're in the saddle.
