We've been able to enjoy a pretty beneficial partnership with Capo over the past couple of years, producing some memorable custom kit. They provide the tech we provide some aesthetic input. Of all of these collaborations, the Capo Blockhaus Jersey may be the crown jewel based on style alone. Of course, this being Capo, the Blockhaus isn't just a pretty face. It's made from the wonderfully soft Resistex CarbonES material. CarbonES has an SPF of 50 and is antimicrobial, which in turn neutralizes odors before they can even become an issue. Our abiding impression of this stuff is that it's lightweight. Needless to say it breathes well, and the honeycomb like texture wicks moisture from your skin and gives a very accommodating stretch. This makes it ideal in long sleeve form for just a little more protection from early autumn's chill, with a base layer for mid autumn, or as a base layer during the colder months. Given the Blockhaus' stylish aesthetics, though, we prefer to wear it on the outside. The three grey stripes graduate from light to dark a la the three dots in Competitive's logo, and the final cap of pink, is, well, it's pink. And who needs any excuse to include pink highlights in a cycling kit The full length zipper is fully hidden, gel grippers at the waist keep the jersey from riding up or bunching, and three rear pockets afford the standard complement of storage for snacks and road gear. The sleeves are also worth noting. They're longer than typical long sleeve gear, offering enough coverage for even the gangliest Competitive staffers.
