Continuing its mission of keeping snowboarding fun, the Capita Defenders of Awesome Snowboard is finally available in a wide so all you big footed shredders can get a taste of its versatile freestyle awesomeness. Rad to ride in the park, but also capable of killing it on the rest of the mountain, the DOA is here to make sure you're having fun every time you strap in. The Hybrid FK profile features mellow camber between the inserts for pop, power, and edge hold, with flat areas outside the bindings and a tiny bit of rocker just before the tip and tail to give it a forgiving feel and improved float in powder. Dual carbon rods running vertically down the board increase pop and rebound, and new Kevlar bound sidewalls improve impact resistance and prevent sidewall blowouts. Also new is the RFC Sustainable Dual core, which uses sustainably harvested poplar to create a lightweight and lively feel, with beech inserts running down the center prevent binding blowouts and increase durability. Special Blend EVO biax glass provides a smooth, consistent flex, and it's bonded with a polyurethane based resin that's less harmful to factory workers than traditional resins. It has a true twin profile for unrestricted switch trickery, but don't let that keep you from taking this thing into the deep stuff, because it kills it there too. The sintered base is wax infused to prevent it from drying out, and tough so it can take a beating and keep getting up for more.
