It features an aluminum frame, cross country suspension fork and Shimano components, a competent mix to handle fire roads or light obstacles on some singletrack. 27.5 wheels are all the rage and for good reason. Larger wheels decrease your angle attack by allowing you to roll over obstacles more quickly and easily. A larger wheel enables you to carry more momentum, better stability, and is less prone to sink in the dirt due to a larger contact patch which causes lower ground pressure, but the 27.5 size still remains agile and easy to control. The Storm is built up around a custom butted Breezer D'Fusion aluminum frame. The tubes are hydroformed, which is a process that allows the designer to move the aluminum material to where it is needed most a stiffer bottom bracket and chain stay area. An integrated head tube cleans up the front end without adding unnecessary weight. The Storm 27 is outfitted with a SR Suntour XCT 27.5 fork with 100mm of cross country travel. This Breezer hardtail delivers performance at a great value with a Shimano AceraAltus 3x8 drivetrain. The shifters, triple crankset and Altus rear derailleur work together to deliver the proper cadence, no matter the grade. A set of Tektro Novela disc brakes will keep things under control. The Storm 27 rolls on Vera Terra DPD18 Rims laced to Breezer Aluminum 32H Hubs. Vera EOS 27.5 tires with a 2.2 width grab the trail tightly in and out of hot corners.
