The Bern Watts EPS Thin Shell Visor Helmet is that rare breed that blends both form and function, and transcends divisions within the world of mountain sports. When first released, the Watts could be found in the terrain park being worn by skiers and snowboarders alike, but now, you'll easily spot this lightweight lid looking down backcountry lines and crawling out of helis in the Chugach. The Watts starts with Bern's Thin ABS hard shell, then adds EPS foam, a lightweight, single impact foam that sacrifices its life to save yours. Bern's Signature Shape allows the Watts to be up to 35% lower in profile than standard snow helmets, and the Boa fit system allows for on the fly adjustments to the helmet's size. Several large vents allow air to flow through the helmet to keep you from burning up, and a micro adjust ratchet at the back of the liner lets you dial in the perfect fit on the fly. All told, the Watts weighs just over seventeen ounces and fits like a glove, so you won't be thinking about your helmet while you shred. And, unlike other helmets, you can take the liner out when it warms up for spring skiing comfort.
