Take on aggressive terrain with confidence that you'll be fully protected by Bell's new Super 2R MIPS Helmet. Made with a removable chin bar, the Super 2R adapts to your ride conditions so that you can stay cool on tough climbs and safe during high speed descents. Bell starts with a polycarbonate shell to act as the initial layer of defense, followed by a layer of impact absorbing foam. MIPS technology is used as the innermost layer of protection, and refers to Swedish technology added to the helmet in the form of a thin layer that rotates slightly upon impact to absorb the brain damaging rotational energy created in certain crashes. Bell combats the inevitable greenhouse effect that occurs after hours spent in a helmet by including its Overbrow Ventilation across the top of the helmet, as well as 23 vents throughout the helmet and six additional vents along the chin bar. They also anticipate the need for eye protection, and engineered the helmet to be fully compatible with goggles and glasses, with or without the optional visor attached. If you use an action camera to capture your best rides, attach it without worrying about zip ties or tape using the integrated breakaway camera mount. In the event of a crash, the mount will release to reduce your risk of injury.
