The top of the boot is stiff, yet pliable enough to snug the Flame GTX tight around your ankle for excellent ankle support. A rubber toe rand helps to defend against stubbed toes and extends the life of the boot.Under foot you'll find Asolo's Duo Asoflex 400 Gold lasting board to protect the bottom of your foot from the impact of roots and rocks and an EVA midsole to help cushion your foot on high mileage days. This moderately aggressive, dual density outsole uses Asolo's Aso brake heel design for maximum downhill grip and offers superior grip on uneven terrains.
