Abel Pliers are spring loaded hard working tools. We offer two sizes of precision machined pliers, shop tested for 1,000 cuts of 80 pound test Monel wire and 100 cuts of 250 pound Nylon coated braided wire. After that, they still cut 7X mono. Abel Model 2 Pliers at just 5.5 inches in length and 2.9 ounces are designed for all freshwater, bass angling, saltwater and fly fishing use, capable of bending down the barb on a dry fly or cutting 175 pound braided wire. Abel Model 4 Pliers at 6.5 inches and just 4.1 ounces are for fly fishing andor conventional bluewater anglers. They'll remove a hook from any fish or shark, cut 250 pound braided wire or any size monofilament line made.
