7mesh Industries came about because the people behind the brand were dissatisfied with the limited range of kit offered by the usual manufacturing suspects, so they set out to design gear that met their requirements. Judging by the shape and function of the S2S Shirt, these requirements include a jersey with all the breathability and wicking of a race fit Lycra body sleeve but without the restrictive, painted on fit. The S2S Shirt's admittedly peculiar name might suggest that this is just a casual article, designed for light cycling or commuting. While it does serve admirably in both capacities, the only real difference between the S2S Shirt and the Jersey version is the shape. The Shirt has a more generous cut that, as hinted at above, doesn't fit like a moisture wicking tattoo. The S2S Shirt incorporates the same hydrophilic back panel and abrasion and wind resistant front panel as the jersey, and the shoulders and sides get the same intricate paneling in order to ensure an unrestrictive fit in the saddle. In the event that the light wind protection is outgunned by the weather, the S2S Shirt's cut allows for layering. The shirtjersey also has a phone sleeve and two zippered side pockets with headphone ports that feed your earbuds into a loop at the collar. Finishing details include reflective detailing to help keep you visible in low light conditions and a UPF of 50 for protection when that reflectivity is unnecessary.
