With its black on black aesthetic, the 3T Stylus 25 LTD Stealth Seatpost takes a whole body of tech high modulus carbon fiber construction technology, an updated saddle clamp design, a weight to make alloy and most carbon posts blush and makes it vanish under a stealth blanket. Those technical features are great and all, but the finish rightly steals the show. So matte, so carbon, so stealth. OK, so the stealth finish doesn't totally eclipse the rest of the seatpost's details. The 25mm of setback in this model deserve special attention for increasing vertical compliance and adding stability on fast descents as compared with the zero offset model. The post is also capped with 3T's Stylus clamping design, which is reminiscent of the single bolt operations from generations past but without the awkward, finicky drawbacks. Unlike those single bolt clamps, the new Stylus clamping system secures the saddle with two bolts situated just inside of either saddle rail. This more effectively distributes load pressure, which is a must for clamping carbon to carbon, but it also eliminates the need to maintain saddle angle while tightening the single clamping bolt and keeping the wiggly clamping bracket in place. It's a simplified, more secure system that any amateur home mechanic can adjust without need to refer to a detailed manual. Despite its all comers ease of use, we do recommend using a torque wrench tuned at or below the max suggested torque of 10Nm while tightening the twin bolts. This tolerance is relatively high for any cockpit component, and we're especially impressed given that unlike the carbon post and alloy clamp of the Team model or the Pro model's all alloy construction the LTD Stealth pits carbon against carbon to reduce its claimed weight to 55g less than the corresponding Team seatpost.
