Reduced drag, while hugely important, isn't the only consideration when trying to cut your swim time. Buoyancy and tracking also play key roles, and while almost all wetsuit address the drag issue, 2XU has also chosen to tackle the problems with buoyancy and drag to put the A:1 Active wetsuit ahead of the rest. The 2XU A:1 Active wetsuit is made with ultra stretchy, hydrodynamic SCS coated Yamamoto neoprene which helps you glide through the water. And, while the neoprene itself is buoyant, 2XU added features that enhance your body positioning in the water to make your swim more efficient. The most obvious is the 39 cell front buoyancy panel that elevates your body in the water to assist in stroke mechanics. 2XU also added Velocity Strakes on the suit's chest to help you track cleanly through the water. Concave Water Entrapment Zones on the forearms add strength to the pull phase of your stroke. The wetsuit's liner stretches 520% for a comfortable fit and clean hydrodynamics. The full length zipper on the back has an extended strap to make the suit easier to get in and out of, and the suit secures at the neck with a wide hook and loop panel.
